There are approximately 30,000 gangs and over one million gang members
in the United States - not even the law enforcement resources of the
federal government are aware of every gang in every community.
Due to the enormity of the problem I do not try to do what those
large organizations can't do.
Gangs OR Us has been online since 1999 and ranks at the top of
gang identification web sites. As one can imagine, I receive
many Emails each day requesting specific information about gangs and
gang activity. I also receive daily requests from students at
all levels, who want information for a paper or other project.
Trying to respond to these Emails or telephone call is very time
consuming. Time for which I receive no compensation.
Therefore, I no longer respond to requests for which I have no answer or the
information can be located with a little effort, on the internet.
